The band's debut album peaked at number one on the Billboard Top 200 for two consecutive weeks and sold over 4 million copies. The band's album was certified four times platinum and their hits include, "Home" and "It's Not Over." Chris Daughtry has been named one of the most successful American Idol contestants due to his album sales and popularity. Foo FightersFoo Fighters, an alternative rock band from Seattle, WA formed in 1994. The band was founded by Nirvana drummer, David Grohl. Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett complete the lineup of the band. Their first Album was call Foo Fighters, preceded by "The Colour and the Shape", "There is nothing Left to Loose", "One by One", "In your Honor", "Skin and Bones", "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace", and the 2011 release of "Wasting Light". Their hit songs include "The Pretender", "Everlong", "Walk", "Best of You", "Wheels", "Learn to Fly", "Monkey Wrench", "My Hero", "Rope" and "All My Life". Over the course of the band's career, four of its albums have won 11 Grammy Awards winning Best Rock Album four times.
Gin BlossomsGin Blossoms is an American pop rock band formed by Doug Hopkins, Bill Leen, Robin Wilson, and Richard Taylor in Tempe, Arizona, in 1987. The band’s current members include, Bill Leen, Jesse Valenzuela, Robin Wilson, Scott Johnson, and Scott Hessel. Their albums include, “Dusted,” “New Miserable Experience,” “Congratulations I’m Sorry,” “Major Lodge Victory,” and “No Chocolate Cake.” With “New Miserable Experience” going 4x Platinum and “Congratulations I’m Sorry” going Platinum. Their hits include, “Hey Jealousy,” “Follow You Down,” and “Found Out About You.”
The Goo Goo Dolls, Guitarist/vocalist Johnny Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska joined forces under the name the Sex Maggots. They were originally a cover band that performed power pop and classic rock & roll. They then began writing original songs. Their early sound recalled the Replacements'. Their sound was what attracted the interest of the heavy metal label Metal Blade, which put out their debut album in 1987 when they changed their name to the Goo Goo Dolls. The song "Name" from the 1995's A Boy Named Goo was released as a single and climbed the Top Five later that year and platinum sales followed close behind. In 1998, the song "Iris" became a monster hit that spent nearly an entire year on Billboard's airplay charts, which included 18 weeks at the number one spot, and was also nominated for three Grammy Awards. The next album, Dizzy Up the Girl, was released during the time of "Iris" marathon run and sold well over three million copies. Even more hits from the album followed over the course of the next year, including "Slide," "Dizzy," "Broadway," and the Grammy-nominated "Black Balloon."
Green DayGreen Day is an American punk rock band formed by Billy Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and John Kiffmeyer in 1987. Kiffmeyer was later replaced with drummer, Tre Cool. The band has released 11 studio albums with 7 going Platinum. Their two most successful albums are, “Dookie” and “American Idiot,” going 5x and 6x Platinum. Their most well known smash hits are, “American Idiot,” “Boulevvard of Broken Dreams,” “Holiday,” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” Green Day has won an astonishing 89 awards, including two BRIT Awards, five Grammy Awards, and three American Music Awards.
HoobastankHoobastank is an alternative rock band that was formed in 1992 by singer Doug Robb, guitarist Dan Estrin, drummer Chris Hesse, and bassist Markku Lappalainen. They have released six albums, “Muffins,” “They Sure Don’t Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used Too,” “Hoobastank,” “The Reason,” “Every Man for Himself,” and “For(n)ever.” The band is most well known for their hit single “The Reason,” that was released in the year 2004. Two of their albums, “Hoobastank” and “The Reason” went multi-Platinum and have sold over 10 million albums worldwide.
Hootie and the BlowfishHootie & The Blowfish is an American rock band formed in 1986 by members Darius Rucker, Dean Felber, Jim Sonefeld, and Mark Bryan. Their debut album, “Cracked Rear View” went 16x Platinum. Following the success of their first album, they released “Fairweather Johnson,” “Musical Chairs,” “Hootie & the Blowfish,” and “Looking for Lucky.” Some hit singles include, “Hold My Hand,” “Only Wanna Be with You,” and “Let Her Cry.” The band has won a Grammy Award, two American Music Awards, a Billboard Music Award, and an MTV Video Music Award.
Iggy PopIggy Pop is an American punk rock singer-songwriter whose musical style includes pop, metal, blues, and jazz. Previously apart of the band, “The Stooges,” Pop embarked on a solo career in 1977 and went on to release 17 solo albums. Among the most acclaimed is “Brick my Brick,” which spawned the hits “Home,” and “Candy.” Iggy Pop along with his previous band, “The Stooges” were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
INXS is an Australian rock band who achieved international success in the 1990s with their hit singles, "Need You Tonight," What You Need," and "New Sensation." In 2004, the band was featured on a reality TV show in order to find a new lead singer for the band. J. D Fortune won the competition and became the band's new lead singer. Fortune wrote the lyrics to the INXS hit, "Pretty Vegas," which went platinum in Canada. INXS has won six Australian Recording Industry Association awards and was inducted into the ARIA Hall Of Fame.
Jane’s AddictionJane’s Addiction is an American rock band that was formed in 1985 by Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins. Avery has since been replaced by Chris Chaney. The band has released four studio albums, “Nothing’s Shocking,” “Ritual de lo habitual,” “Strays,” and “The Great Escape Artist.” Their chart topping singles are “Stop!” “Been Caught Stealing,” and “Just Because.” Jane’s Addiction has won two Icon Awards and has been nominated for six Grammy Awards.
Kid Rock is a five time Grammy Award nominee singer-songwriter and rapper. He first gained notoriety with his record, Devil Without a Cause, which sold 11 million copies and spawned the hits, "Cowboy," Bawitdaba," and "Only God Knows Why." His 2001 hit single, "Picture" went gold and his 2007 single, "All Summer Long" reached number one in eight countries. He has won a People's Choice Award, CMT Award, and American Music Awards. Kid Rock has released ten studio albums with his eleventh set to be released in 2012.

The bands next three albums’ singles "You and Me", "First Time", and "Whatever It Takes" have all been top 40 hits in the U.S. Lifehouse has won three Billboard Music Awards and has sold over 15 million albums worldwide to date.
Red Hot Chili PeppersThe Red Hot Chili Peppers are an American rock band formed by Anthony Kiedis, Michael Balzary, Chad Smith, and Josh Klinghoffer in 1983. The bands’ musical style is composed of rock, funk, and punk rock. They have released ten studio albums, with their album “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” going 7x Platinum. They also have had eleven number one singles including, “Scar Tissue,” “Californication,” and “Dani California.” The Red Hot Chili Peppers have won three American Music Awards, Seven Grammy Awards, one Billboard Music Award, and one BRIT Award.
Smash Mouth formed in 1994, are most known for their hits, "All Star," and "Walkin' on the Sun." Their most successful album was Astro Lounge, which went triple platinum. Smash Mouth's music was featured in the film, "Shrek" and the band also starred in the finale of the movie, "Rat Race" while performing their song, "All Star." The band has released five studio albums with their sixth in the works.
The Killers are an American rock band that was formed in 2001 by friends Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer, and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. The band has released three multi-platinum albums, “Hot Fuss,” “Sam’s Town,” and “Day & Age.” Their well-known singles are “Somebody Told Me,” “Mr. Brightside,” “When You Were Young,” “Human,” and “Spaceman.” The Killers have won 20 awards, including 2 BRIT Awards, 1 MTV Video Music Award, and 1 World Music Award.
